I have downloaded some brushes/styles/gradients/patterns/custom shapes. But how can I install/use them in Photshop?
Even though there are many ways to do them, here I will show you one way which will work for all.
First of all, go to Edit>Preset Manager and you will see something like below:
Assuming you want to install new brushes for your Photoshop, in the Preset Type choose "Brushes". Now, click load and browse for where are the new brushes located.
Do the same thing for patterns/gradients/styles. And boom you are done!

I got some fonts for my Photoshop, but how do I install them?
Actually, it has nothing to do with Photoshop. But here is how you do it.
Go to C:/WINDOWS/FONTS (C:/WINNT/FONTS if you are using Windows 2000) or you can simply click Windows>Run and type fonts. Now click File>Install New Font and browse for the font that you want to install in your computer. After you find the font, hit ENTER and it will be installed to your computer by itself. Also, after doing so, the font will be automatically available for you to use in Photoshop.

Which image format should I use for my website?
There are many file formats that you can use. But JPEG and GIF are widely use for the web. JPEG or GIF? It actually depends on you. Let me explain to you how they works and you can choose yourself what to use. JPEG stands for Joint Photographic Experts Group and they are 24 bits color images which has up to 16 million colors. On the other hand, GIF stands for Graphics Interchange Format which has only 256 colors. So, if you expect your image quality to be good and more color detail, you should go with JPEGs. Then again, GIF support Animation and transparency. Overall,
Use JPEGs for high quality image such as digital photography.
Use GIFs for simple image with less colors, transparency, and animation.
Then again, you should always go to File>Save for web and optimize the image of your choice before you save a image for web. The lower the quality is, faster the image will load.

How do I get my site to look good in all resolutions?
To use pixel or not to, that's the question. If you make a web layout using fixed pixel, you will have to keep in mind that not everybody uses the same screen resolution as you do.
47% uses 800x600
46% uses 1024x 600
and the amount of using large resolution increasing day by day. In that case, you should design your layout for the lowest common resolution which is 800x600. But if you make your site for 1024x758 and above, all the people who use 800x600 and below will have to scroll right and left. It is pretty annoying! So, you should definitely go with 800x600 resolution. But wait, that does not mean your layout should be 800px width. The perfect size for a layout width is 770px to 780px. If you make it bigger than 780px, it will have horizontal scrollbar even in 800x600. Wondering what about those 640x480 visitors? Well, don't worry about them as 85% of the sites they visit have horizontal scrollbar.
Then again, it is the best to design your layout based on percentages. It widen up depending on the size of the browser.
