iPod
So what, if you don’t own an iPod? This tutorial will show you in step by step how to make one in Photoshop. So that you can print it out and use it. =) Okay,
let us get to work. Just keep in mind that while you are doing this tutorial, try not to play around with the settings because in that way you may not come up with
what you you are expecting. However, you are feel free to play around with the settings after you done this tutorial. But not without following all the steps of this tutorial.

In step one, we will work on the main part of the iPod. Create a new document about 300 by 400 pixel and fill it with while color. Then, take the Rounded Rectangle Tool(U) and all the way in the top where it says Radius, put the amount 20px. Now using the background color #F2F2F2 (make sure Only Web Colors is unchecked when you choose the color) draw a rounded rectangle like below. Then, navigate your mouse to Layer>Rasterize>Shape. Thereafter, use the following settings:
Layer>Layer Style>
Drop Shadow: Angle: 147px; Distance: 4px; Spread: 0%; Size: 8px; and leave the rest of the settings as they are.
Inner Shadow: Blend Mode: Normal; Color: #FFFFFF; Distance: 5px; Choke: 0%; Size: 9px; and leave the rest of the settings as they are.
Outer Glow: Leave the settings as they are.
Bevel and Emboss: Depth: 11%; Size:13px; Soften: 16px; and leave the rest of the settings as they are.
Stoke: Size: 1px; Color: # F8F0F0; and leave the rest of the settings as they are.
Once you are done applying all the settings above, you should come with something like below.
Now we will work on the LCD panel of the iPod. Once again take the Rounded Rectangle Tool and change the Radius to 10 px like mentioned in step one and draw the LCD Panel like below using the color # CFCFC7. Then, go to Layer>Rasterize>Shape to convert it a shape. Thereafter, use the following settings:
Inner Shadow: Opacity: 30%; and leave the rest of the settings as they are.
Bevel and Emboss: Leave the settings as they are.
Stoke: Size: 2px; Position: Inside; Color: #333333;
Now, in this tutorial I used the font Arial Narrow to type the menu. You can use the same font or any font that you think would fit best. Then, type iPod on the top of the LCD Screen like shown below. Make a new layer and using the pencil tool draw a horizontal line underneath it. Change the opacity to 65%; Now, you should have something like below,
In this step, we will work on the touch buttons of the iPod. Take the Elliptical Marquee Tool and holding shift draw a small circle (size of touch button) and go to Edit>Stoke and use the settings: Width: 1px; Color: #E6E6E1; Now press Ctrl+J three times to make three copy of that layer. Using the right/left arrow key of your keyboard, position those circles like shown below. Use the font Webdings if you need Play/Pause/Forward/Backward shapes. 9 will give you the Backward symbol, 4; will give you the Play/Pause symbols, and : will give you the Forward symbol. Use your own creativity to make it look more realistic.
This is the final step of this tutorial and in this step we will create touch wheel for the iPod. Take the Elliptical Marquee Tool, holding the shift draw two circle one small and one big. Then, go to Edit>Stoke and use the settings: Width: 1px; Color: #E6E6E1; and you are done! Below is my final result.
